What is Diskintest?

Tuberculosis can be called the Chumay of the XXI century, but on time the detected pathology gives back to rapid treatment. Diskintest is a modern way to determine the presence of koche in the body. Let's figure it out, what is the diaskintest? How does he work? And why better than the well-known Mantu vaccination?

1
What is Diskintest?

Quite often, parents having heard that the child would do Diskintest, begin to panic, taking this sample for an unscheduled vaccination. Hurry to calm them, because this test is a modern analogue of the Mantu sample.

Diskintest is a sample of tuberculosis (protein allergens) in an inactive form, which shows a positive or negative result by the body's reaction. Based on which experts are concluded, there is a chopstick in the child's body. Immunological test under the skin in the area between the brush and the elbow is introduced.

Why do you need a diaskin test?

Medical statistics show that up to 95% of the adult population is carriers of koche sticks, and only in 1% of them, the virus can take an active form with the relevant conditions. Initially, the disease is evident asymptomatic, and the first manifestations appear already at the struggled progression stages. Therefore, the diaxective sample is so important, because only she can identify the "awake" virus at the initial stage of the disease.

Why is Diskintest better?

Mantu is a term familiar even to children. After all, this method is checking the presence of tuberculosis in children. The reaction to the introduction of the drug shows healthy or not a child. In this way, children have been checking for almost 100 years. The method is not 100% accurate, but has already managed to save thousands of children from complications. Refuse Mantu in favor of the diaskinist, doctors are recommended from 7-9 years old, but the smallest is better to carry out Mantu and only with a positive reaction to recheck it with a diaskinist.

The advantages of diaskinist include:

  • unlike Mantu, this test allows you to check whether a person recovered after the treatment of the active form of tuberculosis (the result is negative). Since Mantu always shows a positive result;
  • "Selective" function. In other words, the test is able to distinguish the active form of bacteria from those that "sleep" in the body or were introduced with the planned vaccination of BCG;
  • the drug is highly sensitive, which makes it more accurate, minimizing false negative reactions.

How often can be diagnosed with diaskins?

The Ministry of Health insists on testing once a year to children from 8 years and up to 17. It is allowed to be applied from 1 year. In cases, if a child or an adult is registered with a tubidpeaker, then resort to diagnostics with a diaskin sequence follows every 3-6 months. It should be borne in mind that every case is individual, and if the child has already passed a test for the presence of tuberculosis (manta or x-rays) this year, then it is better to refuse the diaskinist. Guided by the recommendations of the Ministry of Health, the parents should not forget about the basic rules and safety standards of the use of samples on tuberculosis:

  • if planned vaccination was carried out, the sample can be done only in a month;
  • if the reaction to the diaskintest was negative, the re-sample can be made only in two months;
  • if the child had an acute infectious disease, the trial is allowed after complete recovery and after a month of recovery.

To date, Deskinctest is considered the most reliable and safe view of the sample for the presence of koche in the body. It is recommended not only to children, but also adults, because when diagnosing FG, the disease itself is already revealed, and the sample can show it even before the lesion of the lung tissues.
