Dumplings are a dish of Ukrainian cuisine, which is common worldwide. Dumplings are similar to dumplings. However, as a filling is used not only meat, but also vegetables, berries, cottage cheese, mushrooms and fruits.

How to make dough for dumplings?

Dough for dumplings make in several ways.

To make a lean dough for dumplings, you will need to take a glass of water and mix water with sifted flour (about 300 g) and a pinch of salt. Pay attention to the water temperature. In order for the dough to be easier to sculpt and knead, it is advisable to take very cold water. So the dough will not stick to the hands and to the horse.

Also for dumplings make custard dough. How to do it? For cooking you need to take two and a half cups of sainted wheat flour, mix with warm water (½ cup), two eggs and a pinch of salt. Water in the dough you need to add gradually.

Filling for dumplings

As already mentioned, dumplings are made both with vegetable and meat stuffing, and with sweets. As a rule, in dumplings add such a filling:

  1. Cherry
  2. Cottage cheese
  3. Potato
  4. Potatoes with mushrooms
  5. Strawberry
  6. Plum and others.

For the preparation of cottage cheese filling, about 300 grams of cottage cheese and two eggs will be required. The ingredients are mixed and added to the dough.

For the preparation of potato filling boil potatoes and make mashed potatoes, mix it with a fried bow. If you want to add both mushrooms, they also need to be preheated in a vegetable place.

For the preparation of the cherry filling, rinse the berries, remove the bones and pour them off with sugar. Drop juice and deliver berries in the dough.

  1. Take the dough and roll it on the work surface.
  2. Cut the circle from the dough and roll each of them.
  3. Put in the circle filling and blind dumplings.
  4. Boil the dumplings in salted water.

Dumplings with berries and sweet filling serve with cream oil or sour cream. Dumplings with vegetables and mushrooms You can also serve with creamy oil and sour cream, but you can decorate the dish chopped greens on top.
