Tomato Puree Soup - Classic Recipe

What can be more fragrant and more useful in cold winter days than a cup of tomato soup? No one can refuse this delightful, reddish first dish. Tomato Soup is most common in India's restaurants. Tomatoes are frustrated first, stew and rub in to make a homogeneous creamy mass. Low-calorie soup is successfully combined with crispy crackers. It can be a basic dish or sophisticated snack during lunch.

Tomato soup puree - ingredients

Required ingredients for 1 cup (250 ml):

  • 4 medium tomatoes,
  • 2-3 medium cloves of garlic (1ch.l. crushed),
  • 1 Little bulb,
  • 1 bay leaf,
  • 1 tsp. corn starch
  • 2 tbsp. l. water,
  • 1.5 tbsp. cream oil
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 tbsp. l. Cream (25-30% fat), you can take another 2 tbsp. For decoration when applying dishes,
  • 1 tbsp. ordinary sugar,
  • 1 or 2 pieces of bread (rye or white),
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • salt to taste.

  • First, rinse tomatoes and set them aside. Boil about 5 cups of water in a saucepan. Lower the tomatoes in boiling water so that the liquid is completely covered. Add 1 tsp. Salts and bring water to boil.

  • Turn off the fire and close the saucepan with a lid. Let tomatoes lie in the hot water half an hour.

  • Drain the water and let cool tomatoes. Thanks to blanching, skin with tomato will easily be deleted.

  • Heat a frying pan or oven and place the pieces of bread. Fry on low heat to crisp on both sides. If you use the oven, place the bread in the oven at a temperature of 200 ° C.

  • In the pan, pour tomato mashed potatoes.

  • Stir, and then add a glass of water, salt and black pepper.

  • On medium fire, bring the soup to a boil and add the starch paste, which was prepared earlier.

  • Mix well and boil for 3-4 minutes before thickening. Then add sugar and 1 tbsp. cream.

  • Stir cream soup and extinguish for another minute. Turn off the fire.

  • Pour hot tomato soup in cups. Add bread crackers to it. Decorate a dish with parsley leaves or coriander.
