Topinambur is an exceptionally useful vegetable, a slightly resembling an indispensable potato to taste. Initially, he was considered the usual and absolutely unnecessary weed, while in South America did not find how tasty and useful (especially for diabetics) his tubers. Topinambur is more useful in raw form, so salads are often prepared from it. However, it can be frying, cooking, bake and even make coffee from it.
Recipe for fried Topinambura
Ingredients:
- Topinambourburg - 225
- Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l ..
- Salt is a pinch.
- Greens.
- Sour cream - 90
We rinse the tubers of the Topinambur well, clean and pour them with cold water. We leave for 15-30 minutes. Then we cut them with rings and fry in a frying pan for 12-15 minutes, salt. Before serving, we water sour cream and sprinkle with greenery.
Topinambur with orange juice and vegetables
Ingredients:
- Topinamburg - 550 g.
- Carrots - 1 (medium) pcs.
- Bow - 1 (medium).
- Potato.
- Olive or vegetable oil.
- Oranges - 2 pcs.
- Salt.
We rinse well and clean potatoes, tubers of the Topinambura, onions and carrots. Machine them in cold water for 15-30 minutes. During this time, while squeeze juice from oranges (if you cut them along, the juice will be greater).
Then, in turn, we add raw vegetables (each 3-4 minutes) and fry them well, stirring continuously: onions, carrots and potatoes. We pour the vegetables with the resulting orange juice (it should cover them completely), then add Topinambourism.
Mashed from 8 to 10 minutes under a closed lid, then simulate, turn off and leave the dish for another time in the pan.
Readiness is determined using potatoes: it must be soft.
Coffee Recipe from Topinambur
Ingredients (to taste):
- Topinambour tubers.
- Water.
We rinse well and clean Topinambur. Then you cut it finely and pour boiling water for 4 minutes. After that, we drag the water, and Topinambe is laying onto a paper napkin. He must dry completely.
Then fry the Topinambur in the pan until golden color. Put the resulting mass into the coffee grinder. After that, you can brew it.
Pancakes from Topinambur and Pumpkin
Ingredients:
- Topinamburg - 650
- Pumpkin - 250 g
- Medium-sized egg - 2 pcs.
- Flour - 80 g.
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Vegetable oil.
- Salt.
We rinse well, clean the tuber of the Topinambur and the pumpkin, soak them in cold water for 15 minutes. Then we wipe through the grater, mix with eggs, flour, fine onions, salt. All mix well.
We lay out the resulting mixture with a spoon on a frying pan and fry to complete preparation (about 7 minutes on each side).

- Cheese - 150 g
- Greens - to taste.
We rinse well and clean the tuber of the Topinambur, soaked in cold water for 15 minutes. Next, poured it with boiling water (no need to add salt). Hold in water until it cools. During this time, three cheese and crushing greens. Then we shift the boo-baked trees, sprinkle with greens and a little cheese, fill with sour cream and add remaining cheese. We bake in the oven at 180 degrees to complete cooking (until the cheese is melted).
Unfortunately, such a wonderful vegetable, like Topinambur, was forgotten and replaced much longer by stored potatoes. But in his tubers a lot of useful properties, so it deserves that at least periodically go to your table. And, you will not have time to come to my senses like Topinambe firmly and forever enter your casual diet.
