Cycloferon is an immunostimulating agent with a stable antiviral and anti-inflammatory effect. All pharmaceutical forms of the drug - ointment, tablets and ampoules - are successfully used to treat many diseases against the background of reduced immunity.
Cycloferon: Pharmacological properties
The clinical effect after taking the drug is provided by induction of alpha interferon. In turn, Interferon "awakens" those or other immunity links depending on which type of infection began to multiply. The drug also contributes to the active biosynthesis of antibodies, which increases the effectiveness of treatment.
Acryonoacetic acid is the main component of cycloferon. It is active in relation to all types of herpes, human papilloma virus, HIV. The drug as an immunomodulator is often prescribed in the complex therapy of infectious diseases (chlamydia, fungal saming of the urogenital zone).
Indications for the use of cycloferon
For the treatment of adults and children from 4 years, the cycloferon is prescribed as a supplement to the main therapy of such diseases:
- Infections of herpetic nature.
- Secondary immunodeficiency condition.
- Intestinal infection.
- Serous meningitis.
- Hepatitis B and C (chronic current).
- Lyme disease.
- Influenza and ORVI.
- HIV (Stage 2A and 2B).
Rules for admission and recommended cycloferone treatment
The drug is accepted once a day in the following dosage:
- During herpes: 2 or 4 tablets at 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, and then 11, 14, 17, 20, 23 days.
- With influenza and ORVI: 2-4 tablets per 1, 2, 4, 6, and then 8 days.
- When hepatitis, neuroinfection: 4 tablets at 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 11, and then 14, 17, 20, 23 days.
- With intestinal infections, immunodeficiency states: 2 tablets along the same scheme as hepatitis treatment.
- In HIV: at 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, and then 11, 14, 17, 20, 23 days, 4 tablets, and then 4 tablets every 3-5 days for 2.5 months.
Ointment and solution cycloferon applies according to such recommendations:
- With herpes: twice a day, the line is applied to the affected area for 5 days.
- With a genius herpes and urogenital candidiasis: installations of 5-10 mg times a day for 10 days.
- With periodontitis: about 1.5 ml of substance is applied on the gum using a cotton swab every 10 hours. Course treatment for two weeks.
The repetition of the course is possible after a two-week break.
When the cycloferon is banned
The cycloferon is not used for the treatment of small children up to 4 years, women in the position and during lactation. Also, the means is contraindicated to people with a decompensated form of the liver cirrhosis or with hypersensitivity to the drug component.
Cycility is prescribed cycloferon in any diseases of the thyroid gland. If the drug is still prescribed, the patient must be under the supervision of an endocrinologist.
From the side reactions can manifest the urticaria, swelling, the rise of body temperature.
Cycloferon can be used without a recipe in the nearest pharmacy, but the course of treatment should be drawn up only by the attending physician, taking into account the severity of the disease.
