Newbies are not easy to figure out how Instagram works and, in particular, how to respond to comments. In the article, we will analyze the response function on mobile devices in detail and on the computer.

How to answer under your publication

Select a photo or video on your page, touch the comment icon next to the husky icon. Light tap highlight someone else's message and click on the curved arrow at the top of the screen.

In the response line, the Nick of the user will automatically appear with the @ symbol. This means that after writing a response, a person will immediately receive a notice of comments in his ribbon of events. Write the message text and click "Send" on the virtual keyboard of your device.

To respond to several users at once or several messages, tap Mark comments, click on the curved arrow and write the answer.

To respond to iPhones and iPads, spend your finger from left to right and click on the arrow. It will appear marked with a symbol @ nickname. Enter the answer.

How to answer under someone else's publication

Select a post in the news feed or in someone else's profile. Click on the comment icon. You can do the operation described above, but there is no need for this: it is enough to simply enter the text and click "Send". The recipient learns about comments from the notice. But if you answer someone else under publication, then the introduction of Nick with the @ symbol is necessary for the person to be notified.

Editing and removing comments

Editing messages is not yet installed Instagram. To change the text, you will have to delete it first. To do this, enter the Comments tab and tap the right post. At the top of the screen, click on the basket icon.

The message will be erased, as will be informed by Instagram. If you change your mind, you will have a couple of seconds to click on the red warning field to cancel. Delete the old post, write a new one and click "Send".

Of course, it is impossible to remove other people's comments. They can complain to the administration of the social network if they contain spam, offensive or violate the rules of service.

To delete a comment on iOS devices, open the post and spend your finger to the right. Click on the basket icon and select "Delete".

Answer in Instagram Direct

If you sent a private message to Instagram Direct, go to the "House" tab and click on the open box icon at the top of the screen. It should be marked by a notifying icon. Select a new incoming message marked with blue, and tap "Add a comment". Here you can communicate as in the usual chat. Comments and transmitted photos and video will be visible only to the sender.

Enter Instagram account under your registration data. Select the post. Under it in the Add Comment field, enter the text and click "ENTER".

Removal

In your publications, click on the cross opposite any message you want to erase. In the window that appears, confirm the action by clicking on "Delete Comment". Under someone else's publication, select your comment to delete and click on the cross.

When you answer, it is impossible to mention more than five users at the same time using the @ symbol. Together with the filter according to certain words, it warns the spread of spam in Instagram. If your comment is not sent or sent with a delay, you may have an unstable or weak Internet signal. Sometimes temporary problems occur in posting due to technical problems in Instagram.
