Fruits of lychee - a rare guest on our table, because lychee trees prefer a warmer climate. It is not possible to grow lychee on the summer site, but to create all the conditions to grow a decorative plant in a pot - worth trying.
Fruits are delicious and fragrant, the leaves of this tree are green, and the crown is rounded and beautiful. Each dacket would like to grow on the site this tree, but because of the harsh climate, the lychee will not be fruit. To admire the beauty of this tree is quite possible, if you try to grow it from ordinary bone.
How to choose a lidchi bone for landing
Lychee is customary to multiply with cuttings, just so you can get a good harvest. But since the climate in our area is not suitable for the mass cultivation of cuttings, it is possible to plant and grow a small seed from seeds or bones. To grow lychee, you will need to take a mature fruit and remove the bone from it.
Fruits are easy to choose: they have solid red peel and pronounced fragrance. The flesh is sweet and translucent. Each fetal has one seed from which you can grow lychee. After removing the bone from the fetus, it is advisable to put it in the pot right away, because the viability of the seed is small, only 3-5 days. But so much to withstand the sowing material is undesirable, as it is not known whether it will be possible to grow a lychee from such a bone.
How to grow lidchi bone
For the cultivation of this culture, it is necessary to comply with such conditions:
- The room should be warm and wet, as in the tropics.
- Bone after extraction do not store long outdoors.
- If they gathered to plant lychee today, then the fruit is preferably preferably immediately before landing.
Growing Rules:
- prepare a small container (for example, a potty for growing seedlings) with drainage holes;
- push the layer of small clay, then fresh soil for growing colors;

- support the temperature in the room not lower than 25 degrees, and the maximum allowable mark is 34-35 degrees;

- live seeds should germinate quickly, for 1-4 weeks. Some may need a little longer. As practice has shown, from 3 planted lychee seeds, 2 bones gave sprout on the 5th week after landing, and the last one after 4 months!
- when the first leaflets appear, the pot needs to be put so that the plant does not fall on the plant;
- saplings quickly pull up, in 2-3 weeks grow up to 20 cm, but then growth slows down and adult homemade tree does not grow more than 30 cm for the first 2 years;
- during the first two years, a powerful root system is developing, so the tree will be required several times during this period to replant in a more spacious capacity;
- lychee grown at home does not endure drafts and direct sunlight. Does not like sorate to stop, so you need to always maintain moderate humidity;
- does not tolerate lychee and stagnation of liquid, so it is so important to make a good drainage so that the excess fluid flowed into the pallet.
