How to lay a parquet board

Parquet board components are made of wood - the "living" material, the volume and dimensions of which are changed under the influence of temperature and humidity. Laying panels does not forgive assembly errors, but they can be avoided if you explore the instructions and follow it.

1
Installation is made in the room where other construction work ended and the temperature was set about 20 ° and no more than 60% humidity. The latter is determined by a hygrometer or a "grandfather" method: gluing a piece of film into the floor, after a few days it is removed - if there is a drop of water, the humidity is too high.

2
The level is checked by the surface of the floor, the differences in the horizontal plane 2-3 mm are allowed to 2 m. Large defects are eliminated by a screed or align plywood. The following types of floors are necessarily closed with waterproofing:

  • Concrete floors;
  • Cement floors on the ground;
  • Overlapping over wet rooms;
  • Heated coatings.

The heat insulation is placed on the cold surfaces - polystyrene or foamed polyethylene.

3
On the base floor, an aligning layer of tube, felt, porous polyethylene, or a professional substrate, for example, "Tuplex" is used. Packaging with parquet shields must lie in the black room 3-4 days, and you need to open them on the day of work.

4
Parquet boards are supplied with lock groove systems, which allows you to mount panels without fixing to the base - "floating" method. Sequence of work:

  1. The laying begins on the angle, the first board is placed in a groove to the wall at a temperature of the temperature seam, determined by the formula: 1.5 mm for each meter of width.
  2. The second board is inserted at an angle in the groove, pressed and falls on the floor and so to the last panel, which is pre-spilled in length.
  3. Wedges are placed in the gap along the walls, the new row begins with the remaining piece, if it is not shorter than 30 cm.
  4. The boards are joined to a characteristic click, hacking them with a rubber image or using a wooden laying.
  5. The final row is first cut off to the desired size, not forgetting the gap for expansion.

Under the pipes of heating, holes are drilled by 15-20 mm more than the pipes themselves, and the slit is closed with special rings.

5
The "adhesive" method applies according to the manufacturer's recommendations. The process is similar to the previous one, is characterized by the use for fixing the adhesive boards. On a flat wooden base, parquet shields may be nailed, and thick engineering boards are allowed to label.

The advantage of the "floating" method is the possibility of partial disassembly of the coating for repair or replacing damaged parquet floor elements. Certain subtleties have a diagonal styling, which is addressed further on the installation of the Tarkett parquet board.
