How to put a parquet board

Today, a high-quality parquet board will give odds to almost any artificial outdoor coating - it is natural and beautiful, practical and durable. The listed pluses of the parquet board should also be attributed to the simplicity of its laying.

Three-layer parquet panels are considered the most durable and reliable:

The front layer (thickness is 1-6 mm) is manufactured, as a rule, from expensive wood veneer, which is mandatory subjected to special processing in factory conditions - grinding, brash, heat treatment and, if necessary, bleaching; Prepared material is revealed by protective varnishes or wax.
The second layer (thickness is 7-9 mm) is usually created from short rails of inexpensive coniferous rocks (less often from plates of plywood moisture resistant), it is in this layer that there are connecting elements for hitch of parquet lamellas (planks).
For the lower layer (thickness of about 2 mm), the budget plywood from coniferous rocks is also used - it gives a strength board and prevents its deformation.

Before starting laying parquet, you need to prepare the basis in advance - it should be perfectly even and strictly horizontal. Permissible differences in height - no more than 1-2 mm for each running meter. The best way to align the draft floor - make a wet or dry tie. For editing the base with essential curvature, it is better to use a conventional cement solution, with small defects you can do with special levels. After drying the screed, be sure to check the level of its humidity (permissible value - no more than 2-3%). The prepared grounds thoroughly clean from dust and treat with water-repellent primer.

Next, on top of the dry purified screed, put a durable polyethylene (recommended material thickness - 0.25-0.5 mm) with an adhesive in 20 cm, cross the joints with a construction chest. On top of the film, install a soundproofing substrate - this shock-absorbing layer will provide acoustic comfort in the room (will prevent the appearance of noise and squeaks), smoothes small base defects and will make the floor warmer. A sound insulation material can use polystyrene foam, foamed polyethylene, felt cardboard or leaf plug.

Before laying, the packaged parquet board must be supplemented in the work room at least 2-3 days, and in front of the direct installation - is sorted (defective slats with inhomogeneous color and other defects, use for trimming). There are several methods for installing a parquet coating - floating (all planks are connected using lock connections), adhesive (panels are attached to the adhesive composition) and nail (parquet boards are nailed to the base of the black wooden floor with nails). The optimal option for self-laying of the parquet is the "floating" technology - it differs in the speed of installation and does not require large labor costs.

Usually the parquet board is stacked along the length of the room. In square rooms, parquet laying is performed in parallel with falling light, in other words - perpendicular to the window. Otherwise, the smallest errors and joints between the planks will be very noticeable. However, if the basis for the new parquet coating is a wooden floor, then lay the lamellas better across the old boards.

Publish the first bar in the corner of the room along the long wall without the doorway. Between the board and walls, be sure to place spacer wedges with a thickness of 9-10 mm. Such compensation gaps (expansion intervals) are needed for ventilation and natural deformation of the coating with moisture change and air temperature. By the same principle, lay the subsequent boards along the working wall. The last bar in the first row do trinize the size of an electroll batch with small teeth (can be replaced with a metal with a wooden saw), taking into account the expansion gap.

Build the second row start from the remnant of the edge board of the first row (if the segment is less than 50 cm, it is better to break the new bar). Insert the second row boards into the grooves of the first row under the angle of 25 degrees and lower to the characteristic click. All subsequent fragments are stacked similarly. For sealing boards when assembling parquet, use a rubber image. Do not forget in the ends of the extreme planks of each row to insert wedges for technological gaps.

Before installing the last row, measure the distance between the wall and the penultimate side. According to the measurement of the collapse of the board, taking into account the additional 1 cm on the gap. With the help of the chisel, the lock edges on the grooves of the planers of the penultimate row, the groove cavities fill in glue, after which insert the panels of the last row. Then firmly fix the masonry with special metal brackets or clamps.

After complete drying of the adhesion, remove the spacer seams from the compensation seams that were separated by a parquet coating and walls, and install the plinth around the perimeter of the room. Since the parquet is typical of the natural thermal expansion, then the plinth is attached only to the walls.
