Biseptol - composition, dosage forms

Biseptol is made in three pharmaceutical forms:

Dosage and duration of treatment with Biseptol in adults and children

Tablets. For age category, "12+" shows 2 tablets in a dose of 400 mg / 80 ml or 8 tablets 100 ml / 20 ml twice a day. In the event of a severe flow of inflammatory process, the daily dose increases to 3 or 12 tablets twice a day. Course treatment 14 days. Children from 6 to 12 years old, the daily dose is calculated taking into account the mass of the body - 30 ml sulfamethoxazol for each kg.

Suspension. The dose for the child is measured by a measuring cup according to age and is accepted every 12 hours:

  • From 2 to 5 months. - 2.5 mg.
  • From 6 months. Up to 5 years - 5 mg.
  • From 6 to 12 years old - 10 mg.

The duration of antibacterial therapy depends on the type of disease and is 5-14 days.

Biseptol - Possible complications after treatment

Side effects are rarely fixed and, as a rule, are allergic or manifested in the form of digestive disorders. In addition, such complications may rarely manifest itself:
