How to mount penoplex

There are several fastening technologies. The choice of a suitable option depends on the application and structural features of a particular system. Perhaps on the place will be the dynamic impact or the penplex will perform the role of waterproofing.

Installation on glue is a universal way to fix polystyrene foam on the wall. It is used in constructions requiring reliable fixation of plates under load: ventilated facades, surfaces for plastering, basement and interior walls. For the gluing of the Penoplex panels, various formulations that do not have organic solvents (gasoline, acetone and the like) are used:

Based on cement with mineral additives - Ceresit CT85, "STF PLANION", UNS or STOPTER K-20;
On a polyurethane basis - Zenit-36 / 1l, Kleiberit Pur Leim, Tytan Styro, "Emphip 225" or "Isolemphy 3104/11";
With the insulation of underground parts of buildings, compounds containing bitumen - Bitumast, Den Bit-s Styrbit, BNC-45/190 are used.

The glue is distributed over the surface of the plate with stripes, dots (beacons) or solid layer. Regardless of the application method, certain requirements are followed:

The composition is applied not closer to 2 cm from the edge to prevent the solution in the joint;
In the device of multilayer heat insulation, the panel is distributed in a checker order, providing a "dressing" of the joints;
Polyurex is fixed immediately after applying glue;
The distance between the stoves is less than 2 mm;
The thickness deviation is not more than 3 mm;
The temperature seam of 1.5 cm wide is close to moisture-resistant mastic.

Split technology: at a distance of 20-30 mm from the place of pinching the plate applied to the wall and pressed, then shifted to the desired position.

After gluing the fastener, mechanical fixation is performed using a special fastener:

Mushroom dowels with plastic rod - for low-rise buildings and internal installation;
Tarbed dowels with galvanized metal nail - for high-rise buildings and structures subject to heavy load;
Dowels with a thermal head - in order to prevent the point freezing of the thermal insulating layer.

The dowel should be in a wall of 4-5 cm, and its hat is immersed in the insulation of about 1 mm.

Front insulation foundation Polyurex is located outside the waterproofing of basement walls using polymer-bitumen materials. In this case, the glue is not required - the installation is carried out by sweeping the bituminous layer in 6-8 places and the subsequent pressed plate. Above the level of soil, in the base zone, the dowels are installed for 4 pcs. On sheet of polystyrene with dimensions of 1200x600 mm. Under the ground in the mechanical fastener there is no need, grabs the pressure force of the soil. The slabs themselves do not need waterproofing, as water does not absorb them.

For fastening the material on the walls, a flat plane is necessary, so all irregularities are preliminarily eliminated by plaster solutions. The first row of polyplex is located on a galvanized base profile. Outdoor cladding with plates is performed by the adhesive method, plastic "fungi-umbrellas" are additionally installed for reliability. Number of mounting points - 4 pcs. On the meter square, and around windows, doors and at the corners - 6-8 pcs. Installation of thermal insulation on the interior walls occurs similarly.

When insulation of the pitched roof, a stubborn rail is used that does not allow sheets of fasteners to roll. The height of the bar must correspond to the stove thickness. After laying the polystyrene foam from above, the longitudinal rails with a thickness of 4-6 cm for ventilation are mounted. On horizontal surfaces - attic floors, floors - penplex is placed without glue. Wood flooring or concrete base must be smooth - permissible defects not more than 4-5 mm. Gaps between the plates are processed mounting foamnot containing toluene (usually it is in winter varieties).

The extruded polystyrene foam of the Penoplex brand is used to insulate the loggias and balconies. The finish process is clearly reflected in the video.
