Warming Facade House - Dry Technology

The insulation of the facade of the house according to the "Dry" method of technology involves the construction and consolidation of the base structure, the layout of the insulation and the windproof membrane, at the end of the fixation of the finishing material. Such facades are called ventilated due to the leaving gap between the inner and external insulation or attachments. Consider more all positive and negative moments, as well as a variety of options for insulation of the facade of the house in this way.

1
To begin with, it is worth understanding why this technology is considered better "wet":

  • "Dry" technology can be used regardless of the materials from which the house is built ("wet" is not suitable, for example, for wooden houses);
  • the use of "wet" technology is possible only at a certain temperature mode - for a long time it should be between + 5ºС to + 25ºС;
  • significantly simplified technological processes, as well as less labor-intensive work;
  • there are no high surface requirements (when wet, it should be smooth, purified, in some cases is also additionally strengthened);
  • ventilated facades do not absorb moisture, and also have a longer service life.

What you need to know, deciding to insulate the facade of the house on "dry" technology, let's tell further.

2
Choose an external finishing material. All the facades, built by "dry" technology, are divided into lungs and heavy. Easy include inexpensive and not heavy materials. For example, boards, decorative panels, saidding panels, metal panels. The heavy facades consist mainly of large stone or porcelain tiles, due to which the cost of materials increases significantly. In this case, the facade looks richer, the life of the material is much larger than when choosing the lungs.

3
Select the internal insulation. For this technology of insulation of facades, two types of insulation are the most applied - mineral wool and foam (expanded polystyrene foam):

  1. Mineral wool requires the coating of a protective membrane to avoid moisture from entering, while at the expense of the structure it perfectly preserves heat, allows the walls to "breathe". For the ventilated facade, semi-rigid mats are suitable with a bulk area from 80 to 150 kg / m3. Watt wool sheets are fixed to each other so that no cracks remain. If the climate is cold, then the sheets are stacked in two layers. During operation, the insulation can "crawl", so it is additionally fixed by plate dowels. Such a measure is necessary for further operation, since with the time of WATA can be seen and "crawling". Average dowel consumption - 8 units. per 1 m2.
  2. The foam (expanded polystyrene) is recognized as one of the most inexpensive and comfortable insulation materials. It does not require additional coating with a protective membrane or windproof film, because due to the external insulation, it is reliably protected from external influence, and the material itself does not let the air. However, it has a number of shortcomings: it can easily start rodents, he does not miss the pairs and gases, which eliminates its laying in a wooden house, and also relates to fire-hazardous materials. You can use the most inexpensive brands - PSB-C-15 or PSB-C-25. According to the technology, the foam is cut on the size of the frame of the frame and is simply inserted there. If the calculation is made correctly, it does not require additional consolidation. If inaccuracy was allowed, then there are enough 2-4 dowels to support. The slots between the foam plates are blown by mounting foam.

3
Choose a frame for a frame. If you bought a lightweight material, then you can use both wooden and metal structures. The main thing is that the design can withstand the load and wind. For heavy materials for the trim, it will be necessary to buy an inhabited design, which is specifically selected for certain types of plates (taking into account the weight of the plate, load and other things).

4
Choose a windproof membrane that is a nonwoven synthetic textile cloth. It protects perfectly from the wind and getting moisture, but at the same time allows the whole design to "breathe." It is imperative to understand that the windproof membrane and vapor barrier film are different things. Some unscrupulous vendors are happy to replace one other, focusing on the fact that the vapor barrier film is cheaper. However, they forget to mention that the use of a film in wooden houses or together with a wooden structure will lead to the fact that the boards from the rebupping of moisture and the absence of ventilation simply rotate.

Each option is pleased with its advantages and disadvantages compared to the rest. When choosing, it is necessary to navigate not only on external data and the price, and also the climatic zone in which the house is located. Since the "dry" technology is quite easy to work, you can buy materials for an external insulation of more expensive, saving at the same time on wages of employees.

I have a direct attitude to this issue, t to my construction brigade performs this type of work. I will say that lately, in fact, insulation is carried out mainly by dry technology. From insulation, customers prefer mineral wool, the foam is already, as they say, not in fashion for a long time. In addition, it has a number of these shortcomings. We usually do not obstruct the mining plate really better. In addition, it does not have rodents and this is an absolutely environmentally friendly product. As for the foam, there are still disputes about his safety, although it has all the necessary certificates.
