Using Photoshop, you can edit and change not only images, and the text itself. If you do not fit the fonts that the program offers, you can pick up and install a new font yourself. To do this, you will need to select the appropriate option on the Internet, download to the computer, and then unpack. Next, the new font is added to the font collection on the computer, and only then can be used in Photoshop. Consider stages from the very beginning how to do it.
How to find and where to download new font photoshop
To find a new font, open the browser on your computer and enter the search string "Font for Photoshop in Russian"

The font is downloaded in an archive file that will be required to unpack after downloading to the computer. To unpack the file, you need to find it on the device. This can be done in two ways:
- At the bottom of the open browser, a downloaded file is usually indicated, you can simply click on the left mouse button on the tick near the file name, the additional menu will appear, select "Open". Thus, you can immediately unpack the archive file, following the commands.
- Or find a downloaded file through "My Computer", "Disk E", and go along the path that you indicated earlier when downloading.
After you found a file, unpack it in this way:
- Click on the archive file, the window opens with folders.
- We execute the "Extract to the current folder" command.
- The font will be saved in a separate document folder.
- Your file is ready for installation in Photoshop.
Saving the selected font in Photoshop
There are two ways to set and save the new fonts on your computer (and, in Photoshop, respectively), and we will look at every detail.
The first method
To save the new font in the program Photoshop, do these steps (for example, Windows 8):
- In the lower left corner of the computer press "Start".
- The "Control Panel."
