For people who are little familiar with the principles of work masks and a layer, it is difficult to think of themselves how to draw a clear shadow in Adobe Photoshop graphic editor. According to the example of the already executed photo you can figure it out in this difficult business.

Take the desired photo. If you want to make it on a monophonic background - cut out. How to do this in detail described in the article: how to remove the background in photoshop. Now open your photo and select the "Magic Wand" tool. Users with an English-language interface is called "Magic Wand Tool". Click on the white background, there will be a selection.

Immediately you need to be inversion. To do this, right-click on the background, in the drop-down menu, select "SELECT INVERSE", or "inversion inversion". Your selection will move from the background to the object itself.

Right click on the background and locate the "layer from a copy" or "Layer Via Copy".

In the lower right menu, you will see that a new line with a miniature of the object appeared. Now you need this particular layer, so click on it with the left mouse button.

In the top menu, locate the Edit tab or "Edit". In the list that appears, select "Free Transformation", from the English-speaking "Free Transform" interface.

With free transformation, you can twist and stretch the object in all directions, your task is to stretch the basis for the shade. The legs of the model should coincide with the legs of the future shadow, try to stretch and move the object, after a few seconds you will understand the principle of operation editor in this mode. Hold the Ctrl key and pull the topmost square in the selection.

Think slowly where exactly the shadow, there and place a copy of the model. In this case, the shadow will be located as if the light on the model drops on the left. Look carefully on the screenshot below.

Depending on your wishes to the light source and the direction of the shade, place a copy. Press the Enter key on the keyboard. Move the top layer down. For this, double click on the left mouse button on the lock on the bottom layer.

Click "OK" in the window that appears.

Now you can simply drag the top layer under the bottom. This is necessary in order for the shadow to be under the model, and did not lie on it. Create another copy of the model from the "layer 0", as you did in the first paragraph with the help of a magic stick. Now select the "layer 0", take the "Fill" tool, as in the screenshot below and click on the image. Watch that white color was selected, and not black.

Check the location of your layers. The sequence should be like this: on top of a layer 2, then layer 1 and an empty layer 0 at the very bottom. Double-click on the layer 1. In the window that appears, select the "Color Overlay" or "Color Overlay" tab. Click "OK".

Perform the blurring shadow. Go to the "Filter" tab - "Blur" - "Blur in Gauss". Set the desired diameter, for example, 1.7 and click "OK".

Your shadow is ready for all nine steps. Do not be afraid to make mistakes. Any action can be canceled by the Ctrl + Alt + Z keys combination, and start all over again.
