In the dialog box, come up with a name for your file, for example, - Postcard. Next, select Size - Let it be A4, set the contents of the background - white or transparent, click "OK".

Pay attention to the vertical strip, located on the left side of the workspace - is the toolbar. Find the colors palette and activate the main color for the future background - click the top square and make changes to the color palette.
