How to change the background in the photo

Familiarity with the photoshop program is often not too smooth, because in the editor there are many options, tools, as well as a complex work process with masks, layers. With such an abundance of editing, anyone can get confused and not to figure out how to make one or another. In this article, we gradually learn to replace the background in the photo.

Open the desired photo in the photoshop editor. The photo should be a good quality, and the main object has clear contours, then work will be much easier and careful.

Select the "Magic Wand" tool for the English-speaking interface "Magic Wand Tool".

Press it on the background. If not the entire background immediately was released, then clamp the Shift key and continue clicking on the unsecined areas. Only when uniform selection remains around the object, release the key.

Make the selection inversion. Right-click on the image and select "Inversion" or "Select Inverse". This is done because the background is highlighted easier than the object itself with small items inside.

Make a new layer with a cut out object. Right-click on the "layer from the copy" or "Layer Via Copy" again. In the menu on the right, you will see a new line, this is the new layer on which only the carved object is located. In this case, the seagull.

Open the image that will be a new background. Just drag it to the top tab, as in the screenshot.

Take the "Move Tool" or "Move" tool.

Now you just need to take and drag the seagull from one tab to another. Click on it with the left mouse button and pull into the second tab.

Most likely, the size of the images were different, and you will receive a discrepancy between the desired proportion of the background and the object, as it came out in the screenshot below. If so, and you need to change the size of the object, go to the number eight, if not - skip it.

Cress CTRL + T combination and pull the transparent corner of the frame that the image does not need the size you need.

Press the ENTER key. If required, impose filters and effects.
Your image is ready. Do not be afraid to try new, you can cancel any action with Ctrl + Alt + Z keys.
