Fainting is a short -term loss of consciousness in response to a strong internal or external stimulus. The blood flow to the brain decreases sharply, and the body moves from the active regime to the supporting. This condition lasts from a few seconds to three minutes and can have a variety of reasons.
About half of all fainting are nasal. They come from sudden fright, severe pain, overwork, hunger, stress, stuffiness in the room or type of blood. If you have suffered more than once with such a fainting, try to avoid the situation that provoke it. Ortostatic fainting is a consequence of a large physical activity or a sharp change in body position. Loss of consciousness can occur in almost any person with too intense training. In adolescents and elderly people, a temporary “disconnection” of the body has been observed at those moments when they were in one position for a long time, for example, sitting and then suddenly stood up. With a tendency to this, a sufficiently serious type of fainting, you need to undergo an examination (ordinary and daily ECG, test with physical activity, ultrasound).- the head is spinning;
- there is weakness throughout the body;
- nausea arises;
- darkens in the eyes, flies can flicker;
- lays ears or a ringing is heard.
The fainting of it is familiar to every fifth person, however, such reactions of the body should be attentive. If the loss of consciousness occurred once or twice, and at the same time external stimuli were clearly observed, there are no special reasons for concern. But when the situation is repeated repeatedly for no apparent reason, you need to contact doctors and undergo special diagnostics.
