What programs can you record the screen
On the Internet you will find many free programs. The most popular of them:

In this article, for an example, we will take the Fraps program. In it you can not only record the video, but also configure the FPS display in games, set the frequency of creating screenshots. It spreads for free and takes up very little space.
Installation of the Fraps program
To install the program, you need to go to the official Fraps website and click on the link at the bottom of the screen: http://www.fraps.com/download
Here you will not stumble upon advertising, and you will not see sudden requests for registration.
As soon as the installation file downloads, go into the download of your computer and click on it twice. The installation program will open instantly.
To begin with, you must agree with the license by pressing I Agree.
In other points, you will need to indicate the installation site of the folder, its name. If you do not know where it is better to place the program, then leave everything without change and just click on the right lower button.
When the installation is completed, you will see the word “completed” on the left. Click “Close”. The installation is completed on this. She will not cause you problems.
Fraps setting
Of course, for the correct use of the program you need to configure it. Fraps relatively simple and concise program, so all parameters are tuned quickly.
By default, the label of the program will appear on the desktop and in the Start panel. Run it.
This is what the Fraps window looks like, it has only four tabs. Global settings are in General.
Here you need to install boxes in the right points. The most important:
- The second “Fraps Window Always on Top” is noted by default. She raises the frapse window over all other programs, this checkmark needs to be left;
- The third “Run Fraps Windows Starts” starts the program on top of the system along with the inclusion of the system. If you are going to use the program often, then this checkmark will help you a lot.
Video settings are located in the Movies tab.
- The first line is the most important - this is the location of your videos. If you want to set your folder, then you need to do this by clicking on the “Change” button in the upper right corner.
- Please note that the start and shutdown of the video by default controls the F9 button.
The remaining settings are additional. They hide the cursor, cut the finished video, show FPS and set the duration of the roller.
To configure the FPS display, there is a special tab. In it you can see hot keys for turning on or disconnecting the icon from the corner of the screen with the amount of FPS. This is needed for computer games and some editors.
Writing video from the screen
Now you can record the video directly from your screen. Just click on the F9 key if you have not changed it in the settings.
As soon as you need to stop the video, press F9 again.
Now the video will be preserved according to the tracks indicated in the settings. By default, they will be located on a local disk in the Fraps folder.
This program is the simplest recorder that has a wide set of tools. You can record the video, configure screenshots, show your FPS. If you use it constantly, you will quickly figure out all the settings and parameters of the utility.
