A prerequisite for shooting is also a stock of a free space on a computer disk. Approximately 1 hour of the video made on FRAPS will take about 80GB if the space on the computer is not enough, then instead of FRAPS for these purposes it is better to use the Bandicam program (the same video will take about 5 GB). The main difference between Bandicam is that it only removes the area allocated on the screen.

Download, for example, the FRAPS program to a computer from the Internet. To do this, run the browser, in the search string, drive http://www.fraps.com/download.php. In the download page by clicking on the link "Download FRAPS 3.5.99 Setup (2.2 MB)".

A bookmark will appear above the launch with the name "setup.exe". When the jump in this installation file will be completed, click the mouse over it. The program installation wizard will be launched. We accept the terms of the agreement, putting a checkbox "I Agree", at all stages by click "OK" or "Next".

We click Start, run FRAPS, allow the program to make changes to the computer. If the official firmware does not buy wishes, go through the link "http://work-soft.net/?do\u003ddownload&id\u003d2751" and put on top of the former free version. On the main page of the program developers ask us to register and buy a license program. We ignore the message, proceed to the settings. If the Monitor Aero Desktop (DVM) is worth, the program will shoot the entire screen, if not, only an active program, but will shoot it only if this program is written on the Openjell or DirectX platform.

On the FPS tab, choose where we are more convenient to watch the recording status. If the red color is burning in this corner, then there is a video recording from the monitor. Yellow - shooting is not active.

On the Screenshots tab, set the address where the screenshots of the screen will be saved, as well as the format of the file in which the image of the screenshot will be stored. This means that using FRAPS, we get rid of the need to go to Paint to insert the screen and save the file there, this file is created automatically when shooting a monitor frame. If you make an active second (lower) tick, then screenshots will be created automatically at a specified time interval.

Go to the most important bookmark "MOVIES" for us. The default settings, in principle, provide high-quality shooting, but if you wish, you can experiment. Talk "Hide Mouse Cursor in Video" indicate whether the cursor / mouse will be visible in the video. The higher we set the frame change frequency, the continuous will be the video, but the file will be harder. Maximum value - 60 frames per second.

If we want to start a record, it is enough to press F9 on the keyboard (if this key is specified in the Video Capture Hotkey parameter). A red frame counter will be highlighted in red. To finish the video recording, press F9 repeatedly, the video file will immediately be saved to the folder specified in the settings.
