In some of these, the presence of empty lines is unacceptable, they can affect the result of calculations. Delete a string, empty and not only, can be in several ways.

Run MS Excel. To do this, open an existing document. Or create a new one, through the context menu, right-click "Create" - "Microsoft Excel Sheet".

A filter will be added to the table, it can be understood by the list of the list near the headers. Click on the first header, in the drop-down list, scroll down and remove the checkbox from the "empty" item.
