How to make a chalter grid

The chain grid is a universal material for the fence of garden sites and the facilities of enclosures for animals. Unpretentious in caring, not requiring painting and resistant to external weather conditions, the chain grid will be a great help in the farm. Consider three ways to make a grid at home.

The first option is the easiest and affordable:

We make a tool to impart precise bends with wire material.
We take a wide board from the tree of such a length that the grid should be.
We score nails in a checker order. The distance between the nails is equal to the sizes of future cells.
Next, proceed to the bending procedure, pre-cutting the same bars from the soft steel wire.
It is advisable to wear rag mittens to work.
Gently envelm with a wire every nail.
We combine ready-made zigzags, passing them into each other and rotating around your axis one of the rods, as if screwed it.

The second way to make a challenge grid yourself. It will be needed by minimum of materials and tools:

Locks for trimming wires on the same parts.
Material for mesh weaving: We take aluminum rods of one length. You can take from the other metal, but they must be well amenable to deformation.
Wooden ruler or attached in half the electrode.

With the help of these devices, we will give the shape of metal rods. Whatever you take as a basis, the form should be clearly defined.

We take a ruler or curved electrode and closely wrap the wire on it. The turns should be back.

We carefully repeat the bends of the selected item. The width of the line will be equal to the sides of the cells of our grid.
After the first wire is already wound, remove it and wind the next rod.
Important moment: winding performed strictly in one direction, and otherwise the grid will not work out.
Then we stretch wound and removed from the ruler or electrode wire spirals to the same width.

There should be a lot of stretched spirals in the form of zigzags and one size. Now we begin to weave the chain grid: we draw another other and stretch into one such wire, performing rotational movements. Thus, connect all the bars among themselves. The first and last rows are desirable to fix that the grid does not fall apart.

The third way is to apply a special machine that can be purchased in specialized stores. Such devices suggest the transformation of entire wire rolls in the chain grid. The main elements from which the device consists of:

Feeder;
Stretch mechanism;
Devices for lubricating wire material;
Countertop with a winding mechanism forming bends with the right step;
Taking drum.

When working with such a device, it is recommended to cut the wire into pieces, as the bay has a lot of weight, and the tension of the material is constantly changing by shifting the grid step.

If you have in stock there are a large amount of wire, it makes sense to think about the purchase of a device for weaving a chain grid. For industrial purposes, such devices are not suitable in view of economic inappropriateness, since the main part of the work is still performed manually. And delivery of large-tonnage rolls will eat all your profits. And for the weaving grid of small sizes, the first or second method of production at home and with minimal costs is quite suitable.
