How to make a compost yam

The main functions of the compost pit are nutrition and purity of the garden. In other words, almost all waste, which is in the yard and in the country, are suitable for compost pits, therefore, in addition to creating fertilizer, it plays the role of Country Sanitary.

The ideal place for the compost pit will be the shaded and protected area from the wind, mainly to avoid drying the pit. This should be a place located away from the house, preferably under the tree - to avoid fragrances outgoing from it. You can still make a box of wooden boards of large sizes.

Home waste is thrown into the compost yam: cleaning from potatoes, carrots, beets, onions, residues of vegetables, egg shell, backpage, fruits, banana and pomegranate, citrus peel, all vegetable waste, i.e. herbs, plants, crop waste, bark, foliage, manure, litter, straw, sawdust, chew. You can also be added to the compost weed, but they must be pre-kept for 10 days so that they do not expand on the surface.

Cannot throw glass, wire, metal objects, foil, plastic and ceramic products, any chemical preparations, construction trash, textiles, plants affected by mushroom diseases, newspapers. It is undesirable to add lily of the valley, acronite, potato tops, a rocket, they contain poisonous substances that destroy a part of microorganisms, so compost matures slower.

The compost yam is covered with dark material (rubberoid, black film). The decomposition process can last a year, and maybe two depends on what quality you wish to get a product. Contents need to mix - this activates the decomposition process and create uniform conditions. After stirring in the thickness of the compost, the temperature first decreases, but after it is activated, and the fermentation process increases in the consequence of oxygen inflow.

As a result, you get compost - environmentally friendly organic fertilizer. It improves the structure of the soil, feeds it with useful components, thanks to which you can collect a good harvest.
