The most popular editor to create text documents - MS Word. The 2010 version can still be found on many PCs. The program interface is clear, and the editor itself opens up many opportunities during work with the text.
To make it easier to navigate in the document, especially if it has an impressive volume, the user can make a table of contents to work and number the pages. The actions algorithm depends on the final result that must be obtained.

Page numbering in Word 2010: Creating a separate numbering for each section
This question may arise in cases where there is a bulk work that includes large information blocks and subsections. What editor settings need to be made to, for example, the title page did not have the number, and the sections numbering included as Roman and Arabic figures?
- First of all, we will make all hidden symbols. Go to the "Home" tab and click on the icon of hidden symbols.
- Step 2 - go down to the end of the sheet and go to the "Page Markup" block. Find the section "Rales". In the section "section breaks", mark the "Next Page" item. Thus, your first page (titular) will become the 1st partition, and the rest of the text is partition 2.
- Now go to the 2nd page (1st in the 2nd section). A table of contents will be posted here. Scroll it to the end. Next, again repeat the actions described at step 2. Thus, you allocate the new, 2nd, section (table of contents), while the rest of the document becomes the 3rd block.
- Repeat the procedure described how much time it takes to highlight the semantic blocks (partitions) of your document.
Now set various types of numbering within each block.
- Go "Insert" - "footers" - "Page number".
- Mark the type of numbers (at the top or bottom, in the right, left or central part of the sheet).
- For each semantic block (partition), go through (without leaving the designer) path: "Page number" - "Page Format". And then specify the type of numbers (letter or digital numbering), as well as the value from which it starts.
