Composite fittings - reviews

Composite fittings - reviews

In the construction market, new materials differ from all known ones are constantly appearing. More progressive manufacturing technologies are applied, and the emphasis is placed on facilitating work related to these materials. An important factor is to bring their characteristics to international standards in terms of environmental friendliness. A typical example of such a building material serves composite reinforcement, which came out on Russian construction sites only a few years ago.

1
Armature is the so-called "trunk" consisting of many non-metallic fibers. The fiber bunch is ensured by applying a special composite composition. From above on the trunk is put on the layer of the same fibers. Navivka takes place in the form of small waves, lattices or ridges - this surface heterogeneity provides a reliable fittings with construction concrete.

2
Composite reinforcement is made of fiberglass or basalt fiber. Both of these material are very plastic, so the final product bends in all directions. This makes composite reinforcement more sought after in the formation of complex concrete structures.

3
According to the reviews of the builders, the composite fittings are convenient in the installation of the fact that it has and much less weight than the same metal product - in half of times. Besides:

  • the armature is completely not subject to corrosion, which increases the service life of concrete structures that it is reinforced;
  • the coefficient of expansion of the reinforcement is close to the coefficient of concrete expansion, which does not allow the latter to crack with sharp drops of temperatures;
  • low thermal conductivity of composite reinforcement contributes to the fact that the "cold bridges" (at very low ambient temperatures) are not formed in concrete.

The advantages of using this reinforcement and in the fact that it can be very easy to cut into pieces of the desired length - it is often produced in the form of bays or babin.

4
In addition to advantages, composite reinforcement has a number of shortcomings:

  • with very strong heating, up to 600 degrees, it loses its plasticity - this can lead to climbing concrete (for example, during a fire);
  • increased flexibility does not allow to use it with a device for large monolithic structures that do not have additional supports (for example, overlap plates);
  • the rods of the reinforcement cannot be connected by welding with each other (this may be required when the device of multi-level concrete structures).

5
Having studied the experience of builders with composite reinforcement, it can be concluded that it is good when equipped with objects that have a good support area. These are flat and tape foundations below ground level and concrete substrates under the road fabric. It can also be used in monolithic objects, where the probability of corrosion of metal reinforcement (docks, moorings, supports of bridges and power lines) is large.

The use of composite reinforcement requires a very competent calculation so that the object under construction turns out reliable and durable. We invite you to watch a video, where the expert on the armature will tell about what to pay attention to using this building material.

Iceed the loggia, but they forgot to order a brickwork finish. The neighbor suggested us. He was in a similar situation and took advantage of the composite net from the company Nano-SK. Bought a grid and flexible ties. Easy to use, reasonable prices, product quality. Thus, we insulated the loggia, and the walls were trimmed.
