How to pour tie

Before beding linoleum, laminate, carpet or to lay a tile on the floor, you need to take care of alignment of the floor surface. If this is not done, then in the future you can face the fact that the floors will not look aesthetically decreased by the wear resistance of the coating material.

Tools and materials:

  • cement (Mark. "400") - 1 part;
  • sand - 3 parts;
  • water - 1.5 parts;
  • plasticizer (liquid soap);
  • construction mixer;
  • solution tank;
  • reinforcing grid;
  • lighthouses (wooden or metal);
  • level;
  • rule construction (at least 1.1 m).

1
If the floors in the building are strong enough to withstand a large weight (more than 300 kg), then you can proceed to the preparatory work:

  • identify which there will be an outdoor cover, calculate the height of the screed, comparing the final result with adjacent rooms to everywhere the floor level was the same;
  • before pouring a screed in the bathroom or in the kitchen, check the entire water and sewer system for integrity and tightness;
  • route the necessary additional communications;
  • take care waterproofing of walls, paving or roofing material around the perimeter of a special tape that is worth to remove after curing solution;
  • on the cleaned of debris and dust-free surface, apply a primer.

2
To facilitate the leveling of the solution, it is necessary to install so called beacons in the direction from the outlet to the opposite side. The beacons can be used as the slats of wood or metal. The first beacon is set to 25-35 cm from the left or right wall. The distance between them should be approximately 1-1.1 m. Always secure each beacon, so that during operation it does not move. You can do this by setting the rails at the quick-drying solution, putting them on a level.

3
To prepare a cement-sandy solution yourself, mix 1 part of the cement and 3 parts of the sand. Water (1.5 parts) add gradually, constantly stirring. Add a plasticizer to improve the characteristics of the solution, for example, liquid soap. Ready solution must be used for 2 hours.

4
Sequence of action when filling the floor cement mixture:

  • bed reinforcing mesh at intervals between beacons;
  • prepare the cooked solution to the surface of the floor with parts from the opposite side output;
  • cross it using a rule: tighten the solution towards the output, making movements from side to side to maximize the surface;
  • periodically check the quality of the work using the level, add a little solution in those places where there are recesses more than 4 mm;
  • for 2-3 days, it is necessary to make the surface with water to avoid the appearance of cracks due to the rapid evaporation of moisture from the solution;
  • after 2-3 days, remove the lighthouses and pour the resulting deepening with the solution, crush.

5
When using a more expensive self-leveling mixture there is no need to install beacons, it is necessary only to pour the finished solution to the prepared surface of the floor. Differences between the use of cement-sand mixture and self-leveling solution:

  • the term of complete drying of the self-leveling mixture is 2 weeks, the maximum layer is 2-3 mm;
  • the duration of drying the cement-sandy solution depends on the thickness of the screed layer, as well as the brand of concrete, on average, this period is 3 weeks, the thickness of the layer is at least 3 mm.

If as a result there are certain errors on the floor surface, then apply an additionally self-leveling mixture.
