How to make electric warm floors

The warm electric floor is needed to create a comfortable temperature in the house. It functions through a heating cable that takes electricity, converts it to heat and gives into the surrounding space. The flooring procedure is not complicated. First, we determine the place for the thermostat, which will control the room temperature. At an altitude of 50-100cm from the floor in the wall, a hole for the mounting box is made. Then the grounding and power supply is supplied to it. The power wires from the box to the location of their connection with the electrical element of the floor are paired in the grooves made on the wall surface.

At the next stage, an installation is made on a pre-purified heat insulation of non-combustible material. Ideally, this is a mineral wool.

From above it is necessary to put the mounting tape in 0.5 m increments.

Then the heating cable is placed on the floor, which is attached to the tape. Laying the cable can be made by "snake" or spiral. The main thing is that their ranks did not touch. When installing the cable, it is necessary to observe its indents from the walls by 5-7 cm.

After performing these works, the temperature sensor is installed. To transfer data, its wire is located in the tube across the lines of the heating element.

To complete the main part of the work, you must connect the cable with the thermostat. Only three cables are connected to it, located in the tubes: floor cable, switchboard cable and temperature sensor cable. Before filling the floor, the quality of the heating cable is checked by a tester. For what, it seems, it is clear.

After assembling and checking the warm floor system, it is pouring it with a screed layer 4-10 cm. As soon as the screed fully solids, you can connect the heating cable.

With the back of the thermostat there are screw clamps. They are connected to the temperature sensors, the power supply wires of the element and the overall wiring.

The main warm electric floor is ready. Now, as a covering on it, you can put on top of any material: linoleum, parquet, laminate, etc. Use comfort to your home!
