How to calculate warm water field

Water floor arrangement requires a competent approach at the project development stage. Even minor errors made by work, in most cases it will be impossible to correct. We will tell about the basics to know which is necessary when organizing floor heating.

1
The design of warm floor begins with the preparation of the laying of pipes, which takes into account the area and the form of the premises. Accurate measurements are made and transfer them to a drawing in compliance with scale.

2
The overall length of pipes, folded from individual contours, is calculated, the number of which is determined by the following rules:

 • The maximum length of each site is 80-100 m;
 • The permissible difference between the length of the contours is 10-15 m.

3
The mounting distance between the pipes is determined (otherwise - laying step). For the middle band, 150 mm is considered optimal, under colder conditions, the step decreases to 100 mm. The distance from the extreme tube to the wall may be within 150-250 mm.

4
The length (L) of the pipe of each contour by formula is calculated (L): L = S / N • 1.1, where:

 • S - area covered by contour (m²);
 • N - laying step (m);
 • 1.1 - reserve coefficient for bends.

The result is added the length of the feed lines and returns from the collector to the room.

5
The consumption of other building materials is also taken into account:

 • Rolled waterproofing - floor area plus 10% on the overlap of the joints;
 • Insulation (expanded polystyrene) - 5% is added to fit and trimmed;
 • Dampfer tape - the perimeter of the premises and the length of the technological joints;
 • The reinforcement grid - the area of the flooded surface, multiplied by 1.4;
 • Concrete - depending on the thickness of the screed.

It is possible to produce more accurate and complete calculation by contacting the specialists or taking advantage of the open program valtec.prg.allowing you to calculate the parameters of both floor heating and other engineering systems.
