Olivier, many having heard this word, hold a Happy New Year Association. Since from Soviet times, this salad was considered an integral attribute of this holiday. Today, Olivier flashes at the tables of our compatriots much more often, but not all know about the classic recipe for this dish.

Although this salad is considered to be Soviet, in fact, the "parent" of this salad is the French cook L. Volivier (in his honor and named Salad). In the middle of the century, he worked at the Hermitage Hotel, which was located in Moscow. It was he who, working as a cook, filed a first snack called Olivier - meat Lukoshko, which consisted of:
