How to install the iron door yourself

Installation of the metal door is not an easy, but performed task. There are many options for performing products. For self-installation, it is worth choosing models of doors sold assembly: enclosed accessories, fitted cloth and fastened elements. In this case, the volume and complexity of the required work will be minimal. Given the weight of the design, the installation process is carried out by two people.

Remove the exact dimensions of the doorway. From the results obtained, we subtract 25-35 mm for the organization of the technological gap. We write 3 measurements we need and go to the store.

We check the door for compliance with the required dimensions. Now we prepare the following tool for work:

Drill perforator with boots in concrete;
Bulgarian (may be needed when parsing the old door);
Bubble level;
Nails or lomik;
Roulette;
Hammer;
Wooden hacksaw;
Keys of plumbing and files;
Wooden wedges and metal trimmed;
Anchor 10-12 mm;
Foam assembly;
Lubrication for loops.

First we dismantle the old door, we cut and pull it out. We clean the discard from unnecessary fasteners and garbage. Now we put a new metal frame from the outside. Align it with the help of wedges horizontally and vertical, controlling the level.

Then the drill drill the holes for the desired diameter under the anchor. We start with the upper fasteners, and then go down. We drive the mounting elements with a hammer, then tighten the bolts key.

Lubricate the loops and inspire the door canvas on them. Check the work of the latch, the castle and the free course of the door itself. If necessary - we are taking holes with a file or use adjusting washers under the loop.

We clean the plane from dust, the walls are wrapped with water. The visible perimeter of the door is desirable to glue by painting scotch, since it will be problematic to clean it from the foam. Now the space between the frame and the wall fill in the mounting foam.

After drying the foam, we delete everything too much. Installation work in the entrance door is completed. It remains to complete the decoration of the slopes, but this is a topic for another advice. A clear example of mounting the steel door is shown on the video.
