How to make engine heater

Winter temperatures sometimes descend to such a deep minus that even car engines need "insulation." The limiting temperature for the start of a gasoline engine is -20 degrees, diesel -12, turbodiesel -10 -10. However, despite this, many car manufacturers do not adapt them to low temperatures, and among other things, if your car has failed in connection with the engine operation at low temperatures, you can easily refuse warranty service. Engine heater can be purchased in the store, and you can make it yourself.

Take a gun sleeve and drill with a thin drill. Drill a small hole in the side wall, which will be used to summarize the wire. Also drill a hole in the bottom of the sleeve so that you can cut the carving for the heating candle there. To do this, take a tap, which will match the candle threads, make the thread and install the sleeve in the hole.

Now drill a sleeve hole on the absorbing nozzle of the motor. In the resulting hole, install a candle heater inside the pipeline. After that, fasten with a soldering iron or welding and carefully seal with a sealing ribbon and a special sealant composition. After your device is installed, check the connection location for the possibility of leaking fuel.

Moving two wires of power to the candle, then connect them to the battery, observing the polarity. Be sure to turn on the fuse, the disconnection relay and switch to the electrical circuit. Switch secure in the cabin of your car at any convenient location. Do not forget to draw all connections, and the locations of the wires to the heater sealed. From above, the housing of the heater will be warmed with felt.

Before installing the heater, be sure to check it in action. If your car is a V-shaped or opposite engine, you should set two heater from two sides to the nozzles, since one heater cannot cope with its functions.

In a strong frost, before running the motor, turn on the heater, it will heat the fuel in the nozzle and facilitate the start. A few minutes after the fuel heats up, turn off the heater. So that the device is turned off automatically, configure the relay.
