How to make a linear entrance to the car radio

When buying a car radio, you often suggests disappointment from the lack of additional inputs on the device for external devices: telephone, television, microphone, player, etc. Manufacturers for some reason consider such a service to an additional service, although in the device itself, the presence of this option is initially provided and there is not enough special connector for operation. If your car has a regular car radio, then most likely AUX has an entrance to her already. To connect a sound source to it, find the break place where the regular player is connected. For example, on the connection connector, your radio has three contacts. They are responsible for the work of both speakers. Remove the tape recorder, solder the wires to these contacts.

If you are not sure that you have found the right contacts, then touch them with your hand. Increase the volume and listen to the characteristic hum from the right or left speakers. It all depends on how exactly the contact you touch - to the left channel or right. Do not be afraid of shock, 12V voltage in your life does not threaten anything.

Chose the desired contact, now you need to solder a suitable connector of the type: "Jack" - to connect portable devices, "Tulip" - to connect additional devices with adapters. You can solder a connector directly.

Another method of creating a linear entry: disassemble the automagnetola, find the Line-IN inscription in its scheme that is responsible for the splitting of linear input. They are usually indicated in accordance with the purpose of contact: Line GND (minus), Line-L (positive left channel), Line-R (positive right channel). You can also check their appointment with your finger, listening to noise from the right or left speakers.

Most likely, the necessary contacts already exist on the printed circuit board, the connector is not soldered to them to connect an external device. Sold down the desired connector, then you will receive an optional line input.

To do this, consider the player's work diagram: a beep from the carrier (for example, a disc) through the amplifier is transmitted to external outputs. Most often, they are all on a common circuit board, then connected together. The amplifier can also be on a separate board, the sound source and power is connected to it.

Find the amplifier, it is easy, it is most often screwed to the radiator on the rear surface of the radio and has a ribbed surface for better cooling. Another embodiment of the amplifier chip is on the side panel of the player. At the inputs of the amplifier, find the passage capacitor, pay the wires of the desired devices. Check your finger correctly connected by the usual test method. In this case, you can no longer adjust the sound and manage the settings.

One of the three simple ways you can handle the functionality of your car radio, connecting the necessary external devices to it. The main task is to do everything very carefully, trying not to damage your device, not to disturb its performance.
