It will help to remove excess dust and strengthen the surface. Wallpaper and painted ceilings are not needed. Tile begin to glue from the chandelier, even if it is located not in the center of the room. When sticking the tiles diagonally, the markup error is not as noticeable if they were allowed.

The glue is applied by points around the perimeter and every 15 cm throughout the tile in a checker order. For operation, special adhesive for polystyrene foam tile or liquid nails are used. Liquid nails grab faster, they work easier. Do not try to glue the tile immediately after applying glue. Let it dry for 3-5 minutes. In order not to waste time, apply glue immediately into several tiles.

Tight press the tile to the ceiling. Make sure that it does not move in the corners. Adopted glue immediately, remove a soft damp cloth. In a couple of hours you can easily handle the ceiling center. The main time goes on trimmed tiles. The tile is easily cut by a stationery or construction knife. Measure the necessary width of trimming with a roulette and cut the tile on a flat surface. With laminated tiles, work carefully, do not grab it with dirty hands - spots will remain.

To close the angle between the ceiling and the wall, glue a lightweight ceiling plinth. Seams between tiles and cracks near the plinth fill in acrylic sealant. Silicone sealant is not entirely suitable for these purposes - after drying, it glitters and looks ugly, especially on deep matte tiles.

Do not buy dark color tiles - it will visually reduce the height of the room. Compliance with these uncomplicated rules will allow you to quickly and efficiently cope with the repair of the ceiling.
