How to open a device manager

Field Device Manager in Windows serves as a convenient catalog of all connected devices, adapters, components. It is here that you can see the name of your video card, sound equipment and other important details. To get into this placement, you can use the search line in Windows, the control panel or computer control. Each of these methods may be suitable for one or another user, depending on your computer and a specific situation, so this article will consider all three ways to open the devices dispatcher in Windows.

How to open the device manager through the control panel

Go to the control panel through the start in the conductor.

Make sure that the display in your control panel is configured by categories. To do this, look at the “View” field in the upper right corner: the word “category” should be there.
Click on the point “Equipment and sound”.

In the new window you will see many sections, you need “devices and printers”. It will immediately indicate the subsection “Device Manager”. Click on it once.

The device manager will open immediately. Now you can work with drivers and watch a list of devices on your computer.

How to open the device manager with a command

Another quick way to open the device manager in the Windows system. You only need to remember the team and a combination of keys.

Squeeze the Win and R. or Win and K on the Russian layout on your keyboard at the same time. For greater clarity, you will see a combination in the screenshot below.

A small window with the name “Perform” will appear in the middle of the screen. Write the following command in it: mmc devmgmt.msc
Press the Enter key or click OK.

This command instantly calls the device manager.

How to open the device manager through computer control

This method is suitable for you only if you own an administrative account on a computer. If you have a guest one, then follow the administrator account or use one of the two of the above methods.

Open the control panel via computer start.
Find the section “Computer” on the right side of the menu.
Click on this word with the right mouse button.
You will see a pop -up list of settings and options, select the “Management” item in it.
Note that near this point there is a small shield. This means that only the administrator can go into it.

In the window that opens, go to the very first section “Computer Management”. Immediately there will be a list with the “Device Manager” subpeks. Click on it.
