Before suspecting a sound card malfunction, you should carefully inspect the computer connectors for external damage. Check also the speakers wires: connect them to the phone or to another playing device. The reason for the lack of sound can consist in sound equipment. It will not be superfluous and the operating system is restarted - it is possible that your computer simply knocked out sound settings.
