How to remove the password from the computer

Many people install a password on their computer. Mainly do it to protect personal information. And sometimes parents are restricting access to games for their child. But over time, the need for such protection passes, then the password can be simply removed. Or another situation - you just forgot your password. It is not worth worrying, because it can also be reset.

First we will understand how to remove the password from the computer on which Windows 7 is installed. Turn on the computer and go into the system under the administrator account. Only with his rights you can make a conceived. Press the "Start" icon in the lower left corner of the screen or on the corresponding button on the keyboard. In the pop-up window, select the "Control Panel".

In the window that appears, click on "Add and delete user accounts".

Select the user, the password to the account of which you want to delete, and click on "Deleting a password".

Next, enter the current password and click on the "Delete password" button. After such actions, the selected user will be able to turn on the computer without biting the password input.

On Windows 8, the algorithm of actions is similar, but still has some differences. Also enter the system with administrator rights. Call the sidebar by spending the cursor from the lower right corner of the screen upwards, and select "Parameters" there. Next, click on the "Control Panel" item.

The window that has opened after your actions go to the section "Accounts and Family Security". Now we enter into "user accounts" and twice with a click on that which you want to reset the password.

A new window will open, where the "Change Password" button will be available. Press it. We enter the current password and click "Next".

You will be prompted to install a new password. But since you need to simply delete it, then we leave the "New Password" field, "enter the password again" and the "password tip" is empty. Click "Next". Now I confirm your actions by clicking "ready." Login is free.

The methods described above will help if you know the password to the computer, but there are cases when the password is unknown. Then the best assistant will be the ERD Commander program. Create a boot disk or flash drive. Give in the computer and turn it on. In the boiled window, select your operating system, then in the "system recovery parameters", we note the first of the proposed items and click "Next".

In a new window, select Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset, after which I click on the "Password Wizard" item. In the pop-up window, select the user and assign a new password to it. Click Next, and then "ready."

Having done all this, take out the flash drive or disk, depending on what you used, and reboot the computer. The system will ask for a password. We enter the one as specified in the ERD Commander program. And then we act as described in the preceding paragraphs.

Now you know how to remove the password from the computer if necessary. You can even reset it if you forgot or accidentally changed. To do this, you will not need to reinstall the operating system, which will save all the data.
