How to embroider cross for beginners

An embroidery technique is simple and easy to study. Literally a couple of evenings spent on embroidery in an interesting scheme, and even a newbie, recently taking a needle, will be able to create unique, distinctive things to decorate the house or share clothes with patterns that never come out of fashion.

1
For embroidery, the cross will need: canvas, needle, multicolored threads and comfortable hoops. Since it is recommended to count the number of stitches in color blocks and rows, it is very helpless not to get away from the CANVA account, it greatly facilitates this process. Especially good in this plan is a large linen or cotton. Large weaving facilitates the calculation of "squares", which are formed from the weave of the threads. For beginners, canvas suitable, made of synthetic material like vinyl.

2
The choice of fives for embroidery with a cross is not limited. Since the advantage of this technique is that it allows the most large-scale work to do in parts, the only task with which the hoop should cope - this ability to tighten the can with dimensions of about 20-30 sq.m. Two necessary criteria that should be considered when choosing a needle - the average thickness of the needle itself and a stupid end. The larger Kanva, the thicker should be a needle. The size of the ears should vary depending on the selection of the thread. For embroidery, fine yarn is perfectly suitable, twisted in the harness, moulin and cotton threads. They are easy to fall on the canva, creating a smooth, beautiful texture.

3
One of the complex moments in the embroidery of the cross is the attachment of the thread, which is especially important when the transition from the selected color to another. For a smooth transition, you need a thread of a new color by offline to spend a pair of stitches to the place from which we plan to start it to embroider, after which it is a special "rear stitch", which is a loop from a thread, worn in the needle's ear. The needle is inwarded in the canvas from the front side, leaving there a loop and retreating for a couple of millimeters, again we bring the needle, attaching thread thus. After the end of the embroidery, the thread should be fixed by the same stitch.

4
So that the stitches come out clear and smooth, the canvas are selected with a rather large native weaving, reserve the threads and proceed to sewing. We start with the definition of the future embroidery center. It is possible to facilitate this business, by running on our canvas two diagonal lines to, starting from the place of their intersection, move towards the edges of the canvas. If the scheme is large, then you begin with the largest part of it, where one color prevails. It is better that it is dark, then after the outline will be set, it will be possible to add bright shades with threads. At first I fix the rear stitch on the canva from the wrong side, then we output it down, in the left corner of the square and up, into the right upper angle. Then the mirror of the resulting stitch, spend the thread to the left, having received a smooth cross. Lay out stitches in two ways: in English and Danish. The first method is considered traditional. In it, each cross embroidered entirely, forming a number first, and then the block. The second method allows you to first impose those stitches that should be from below, and then - on top. Usually, every master herself selects its method, but if the work turns out to be particularly large, they are combined, embroider vertical rows in the traditional way, and the rest of the Danish.

An embroidery cross is easy to study and even newcomer is available. The main thing is to be patient and fantasy before work, because everything else will come out by itself.
