During operation with Microsoft Word documents, an unexpected problem may occur: if the document was not saved, all changes are lost in it. Of course, any user will try to restore the Word document. What methods can be implemented, will be considered in this article.
1
The user may not have time to maintain changes in a document by different kinds of reasons: whether it is a shutdown of the light or a malfunction in the computer. The Microsoft Word program is created logical and can restore the lost data without much difficulty. The easiest way is to open the document file that you edited until the change is the loss of changes. In the left column Word, a recovery request will appear, with the date of its last automatic saving.
2
As already mentioned above, the program has a fleet of auto storage, which, by the way, retains all changes made every 10 minutes. So, it is likely that all backups must be saved somewhere. If the method specified above did not give the desired results, we use the search for the autosave folder: it is possible that it remains more "fresh" saved file. You can find out the directory by clicking on the "Service" in the upper menu of the document and selecting the "Parameters" item.
3
In the settings menu, select the "Location" tab. In the Catalog of Data Catalog for the Auto Station, the directory will be specified in which all copies are saved. If you are using Word 2010, the path will be different: you need to open the "File" tab and select "Parameters" in the dropping menu. In the left submenu we find "save", after which the contents of the tab will be displayed. It will also be indicated by the Count "Data Catalog ...".
4
If this method does not help, you can use the following. Opening the program, find the File tab and Open item.
5
A window will appear asking for opening a new file. Select the document you are interested in, but do not rush to press the "Open" button. Pay attention to a small triangle located with the edge of the button. Click on it and select "Open and Restore". Perhaps after clicking, you will need to determine the file encoding. If you do not specify anything, the WORD will open a document with standard encoding.
6
The following method is similar to the previous one, but works more efficiently. We find the same "file" directory - "open", choose the document you need. Do not perform the opening command at the moment, and we are looking for the lowest Count "File Type". We display the submenu and click on "Restore text from any file." Now you can open the file and see if the corresponding changes are made.
7
In the event that none of the above methods helps to achieve the desired result, you can use the help of third-party programs. To date, there are countless, but for this operation, take the Recuva program. It allows you to easily restore any file types, including Word documents. Download and run the program. In the selection menu, we put the designation near the "Documents" clause (Documents), click Next.
8
The program will request a file location. If it is unknown, choose the top graph "exactly unknown" (I`m not sure). If you know its directory, we indicate it in a penultimate column "in the specified place" (in a specific location).
9
After executing the recommendations, it remains only to click on the "Start" button, and the program displays all documents that can be restored. We are looking for among them the file we need and try to restore it.
In some cases, even after using all the above methods, the file cannot be restored. Then you can take advantage of more powerful programs. Perhaps they can return the file to its end state.
