How to restore the language icon

Working at the computer, the user when trying to switch the language layout can detect that it is not available at all. This problem is found quite often, and there are several options for its elimination.

1
Initially, it is worth checking whether the language layout in the taskbar is activated. Clicking PCM on the taskbar and at the very top of the panel item.

2
In the submenu opened by checking the "Language panel" item. In case of its absence, the display layout will not be. If confirmation is already standing near her, then we try to remove the check mark and put it again.

3
It is unlikely that the previous method can eliminate this problem, so immediately after it should be used by regional settings. Open the "Start" menu and find the "Control Panel".

4
A window will open in which all control panel elements will be displayed. It is necessary to find the item "Language and regional ...".

5
After confirmation, a small window will appear. At the very top, we find the tab "Languages and Keyboards" and in the "Keyboard and other input languages" block click on "Change keyboard ...".

6
Select the "General" tab and check the layout state. It must contain two languages. Default is Russian and English. Of course, in addition to them, other languages can be active. But two layouts must necessarily be included, otherwise the language layout may not be displayed in the taskbar.

7
If the second layout is missing, then press the "Add" button, we find the desired language and add it by pressing the "OK" button.

8
Now switch to the "Language panel" tab and in the block under the same name choose the option "fixed in the panel ...". At the very bottom, opposite the item "Display Text ...", we put acknowledgment in the form of a check mark.

9
If the previous method did not bring any results, then check the registry. We launch the registry editor and type the "Regedit" command.

10
After starting the registry, you must manually find the CTFMON parameter located in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \\ Software \\ Microsoft \\ Windows \\ CurrentVersion \\ Run directory. To do this, in the left part of the registry window, we have phased out the desired folders, getting to the last name.

11
If the CTFMON parameter is available in the registry, check its value that must be: "C: \\ Windows \\ System32 \\ Ctfmon.exe". In the case of its absence, you will have to create this parameter itself. To do this, right-click in the Registry, select "Create" and in the submenu dropping. Find the "Parameters".

12
In the registry window in this folder, the created parameter will be displayed, but without a name. We assign a new name "CTFMON".

13
By right-clicking on this parameter twice, we find the "Value" field. We enter the string described above, i.e. "C: \\ Windows \\ System32 \\ Ctfmon.exe". Press the "OK" button and reboot the computer. After switching on, the language layout must be in the taskbar.

Using these methods, in most cases, you can return the missing language layout icon back. However, if it is not displayed, the ability to switch the most keyboard layout remains unchanged.

If the icon appeared once, then after restoring it flies again. That this never happened, you should install a small Punto Switcher program. I also suffered for a long time with this problem, infinitely restoring this violation using Win + R and entering the ctfmon.exe command, as the microsoft office does not recognize Russification, but forced to agree with its presence. Therefore, it flies without end. Install this program and you will get rid of this problem forever. And the author of this article should be gratitude for his works.
