How to restore a hidden section of a laptop

Regardless of the manufacturer, there is a hidden section on laptops. It can also be created independently. It is necessary to restore the operating system Windows. It is not difficult to do this, but not everyone can do it.

On the hard drive of almost all modern laptops there is a hidden section. It was created in order to restore the operating system in case of a failure. In the “My Computer” folder, as well as in the “conductor”, the hidden section is not displayed. It can only be seen in the “Disks Management”. There can be other hidden sections on the laptop, but this one has a greater capacity.

Immediately after buying the device, you need to highlight the place on the disk, where the hidden section will be located. You can install the program Acronis Disc Director Suite and choose a “manual mode”. To continue, the OK button is pressed. In the same program, “disk C” is selected and the size is changed using the “unoccupied space in front” field. In the section “Unoccupied space after” the parameters are equated to zero. Next, a button with the image of the flag is pressed. After that, “proceed”. The computer needs to be reloaded. So the place for a hidden section is ready.

When you need to recover this section, the program is loaded Acronis True Image. After its opening, the menu selects “restore”. The “Search of the backup” button is pressed. It is necessary to specify the address where the hidden section is located, and the “OK” button is pressed. The “Restore” option is selected. After that, select “Restore wheels or sections” and click “Next”. In the next window, “FAT32 and MBR” is selected and continue using the same point “Next”. In the tab that opened, we select “Disk Settings”. Further actions are aimed at choosing free space for disk C. After that, it is pressed to “apply”. Then it is chosen to “change the default settings”, and the type of section is indicated “main”. Click on the “Accept” button. Below there will be a link “Change the default settings”, click on the point “Next”. It is necessary to choose the disc where MBR will be restored. The last action is pressing the “start” button, and then the restoration of the hidden section will begin.

There is another method - easier. Laptop manufacturers create a disk image with the operating system and place it in a hidden section. In order to restore it, a certain combination of keys is pressed before loading Windows (each manufacturer sets his own set of characters that can be seen either in the instructions or find it yourself on the Internet). After that, the recovery process automatically starts. This method is much simpler and more convenient. There will be a resumption of utilities, programs and drivers. However, there are certain shortcomings: unnecessary programs that will have to be removed by hand will also be restored.

It is not difficult to return to the factory attitudes, but it should be remembered that after the restoration, all the information accumulated over the years will disappear. Therefore, before starting this process, you need to transfer everything you need to another place if possible (these can be virtual storage facilities, removable hard drives or other computers).
