There are several ways to protect their personal data stored on one of the partitions or disks of the computer (laptop), from random (or intentional) viewing. One of them is to hide this partition or disk with the help of existing resources of your PC. How to do it - we describe further.

Through the "Start" we find the "Computer" section on the right side and, click on it with the right mouse button, select the Control subsection.

In the menu that opens, go to the "Disk Management".

After "Disk Management" opens, the corresponding console will appear. In it we find a disc that are going to "hide". Using the right mouse button, open it and select "Change the letter of the disk ..." in the dropping menu.

As a result of the actions you spent, another window will open, where the disk or section you need will be marked. Here will be the removal of the letter assigned to him, in which it is, in fact, the process of hide. To do this, we will need to consistently press the "Delete" virtual buttons and slightly below - "OK".

In the junction after this, the warning window remains to confirm its intentions - and the process of hiding the disk (partition) is considered complete.
Now, by opening the "Computer" section, it will not be in the list of devices visible to your PC. But it can be found - in the same subsection "Disk Management" on the path already described above (clause 1-3).
