Any computer user may have a situation where you need to turn off the hard disk. For example, you need to connect it to another computer or replace the hard drive to the new one. This article will describe in detail the process of disconnecting the hard disk. It should be borne in mind that when the hard disk is self-replaced or other components are possible a loss of a computer warranty.

So, first it is necessary to turn off the power and all devices from the computer. To do this, pull out all the wires on the rear panel of your system unit.

After the power is disabled, remove the lid from the system unit. To do this, you may need a screwdriver. You need to unscrew the screws that hold the lid, and then just remove it. If the hard disk is removed from the laptop, unscrew all the screws that hold the rear panel.

When the lid is removed, you start disconnecting the disk. What the hard disk looks like, you can see in the photo below. Start with disabling wires from the device. Typically, two wires are connected to the hard disk. Gently get both wires. At the same time, try not to contact your hands with a hard disk electronics - it can lead to a breakdown. It is necessary to disable the wires very carefully and in no case to pull them out! If you have a laptop, then it will be enough just to remove the disk by shifting it aside. It is worth noting that different laptop manufacturers have different fastening systems. Therefore, before removing the disk, refer to the user manual attached to the laptop.

After that, remove the device from the mounts. Special fastening systems can be installed on your computer. Then the removal process will be extremely simple. Also, the hard disk can be attached to just screws. In this case, unscrew the screws using a screwdriver.

Now get the disk and put it in the anti-static package. The remove disc is very careful not to touch other components of the computer.
