How to change the hard drive

Replacing hard drives only at first glance seems an elementary task. However, before it is necessary to take into account a number of requirements. Also define the type of hard drive that is used in your computer.

Before you start disassembling a computer, make sure that it is in the off state. Unscrew the screws that fasten the cover of the system unit, and fold them in a separate place in order not to lose. Slightly pressing on the side cover, you remove it.

In a separate box you have a hard drive. Disconnect all the wires from the hard disk. Their two - wire interface and power wire. After that, you can unscrew the bolts that hold the hard disk on the spot. Remove hard drives.

A new disk (or discs) put on the place of the old and fasten the bolts. After that, connect the wire to the device in the same order as disconnected.

Replace the side parts of the system unit and secure them with fasteners. Only after you have collected a computer completely, you can connect it to the network and turn on.

The device is ready to use and should be correctly determined by the system. Otherwise, it is worth checking the correct connection of wires and loops. You may need to install drivers.
