If you are an administrator of a group on a social network VKontakte, all settings and options are most likely available to you alone. And often it happens that there is a need to verify each potential participant, especially if the group is aimed at a specific contingent or has limitations. To quickly change the type of your group, follow the instructions:

Go to the "Group" tab.

Find the control field. All groups will appear before you, administrator rights or moderator in which you have.

Go to the group you need to close. Expand the drop-down menu by clicking on three points under the avatar of the community. Select the Community Management tab.

Find the line "group type", this is what you need. Click on the string and select the desired option. If your group has an open status, then you are available two options: closed and private band. You can become a participant in a private group only at the invitation of one of the administrators or moderator. The closed group implies the approval of the application of each potential participant, and hiding the content before approval.

Click the left mouse button on the blue button "Save". If this is not done, all changes will be lost and the type of group will not be saved.
After changing the privacy of the group, you can change the type back at any time and how many times. Having tried all the options, you will understand what the most optimal for your community.
