Wall-mounted TV is very convenient because it saves the place and allows you to watch any movies on wide screens. But after the purchase there is a problem with fastening it on the wall. To overpay the money for the installation, I want a little, but at the same time there is always a fear of damaging the wall or unreliable to install the TV. In fact, even an inexperienced person can cope with the installation, if you carefully examine the methods of fastening the TV to the wall.
Installation on the mount
Fastenings that hold the weight of the TV are called brackets. They are quite a lot and for installation recommend choosing something that matches the needs. The thing is that some mounts do not have the function of rotation with the inclination, and simply static fix the TV on the wall.
To mount the TV to the wall will be required:
- Hammer
- Screwdriver
- Drill
- Drill
- Roulette
- Level
- Before installing the TV, first measure the height on which it will be secured. According to the standard, about 1 meter should be about its lower edge. In the living rooms, televisions are usually located lower than in the kitchens.
When the height is scheduled, there are points for drilling on the wall. So that the height was chosen correctly, measured with a roulette distance from the holes for fastening on the TV panel behind the screen and to its lower edge. Then 1 meter is added to the obtained value. These marks are designed for fastening lower holes. Through them spend a horizontal line, measuring it with a level. - Then take the suspension to fasten the TV and press it to the wall so that the point drawn on the wall was visible in the lower holes for the bolts. Through them - the upper, including, re-draw future holes for drilling.
- Sometimes the owner of the apartment does not know where a hidden wiring passes in the wall. To avoid damage to property, the plot of work is verified by its presence using a special device. Then the drill or perforator drill holes for fasteners.
- They are clogged with a dowel hammer, then on top of apply the mount and screw bolts or screws. They should get accurately into the swollen dowels. So that the bolts sat reliably recommend using a wrench.
After the fastening is securely recorded, the TV is made and hang it.
Making fasteners
- If for some reason it is not possible to find a suitable fastening or there is a desire to save, they advise to make fastenings with their own hands. To install TVs with screens from 32 and up to 42 inches, there are enough four steel or aluminum corners. Experienced repair masters recommend choosing aluminum - it is easier and easier in processing. In addition to them, one needle of the bike will be required.
- In each aluminum part, three holes are done. At the bottom of two, it is more convenient to mount to the TV and at the top one - for the needles. Using the screw M4, all parts are attached to the rear panel of the device.
A couple of aluminum parts are attached to the wall. Before that, they are drilled in a pair of holes for fixing on the wall and another one for the knitting needles. The mounting holes sometimes make more than two if the TV is too wide or heavy. - Then on the wall make marking through all the holes in the details. They must be located strictly symmetrically so that the design does not bother. At the same time, the corners must defend each other for a smaller distance than such corners on the TV itself. It is necessary that one item can log in to another. For measurement accuracy, it is recommended to use a profile.
- It remains only to hang the TV. To do this, it is raised and insert corners into the fasteners on the wall. After they are opposite each other, they insert the needles in them to ensure the reliability of fixing the entire structure. In her absence, a nail with a hat is also a good solution, but the holes for it will have to drill more. If the TV is heavy, then it will be necessary for nails about 100 mm.
- When selecting corners, their width is also important. It is it that provides a current of air between the TV and the wall, interfering with it to heat up. In addition to fasteners, you usually make a cable channel to remove all wires.
Plasterboard Wall
Because of its subtleties and the fact that it is in principle is not designed for a lot of weight, often TVs hang at all without fasteners. Usually, they are "ears" on the rear panel of the TV, stating markings under them on the wall. After that, in these places, the wall is drilled, drive a dowel and screw the TV to the wall with bolts.
In addition, there is another butterfly dowel, distributing the weight of the TV in a large area on the wall, while the fastening itself is capable of incurring no more than 15 kg. Since this is the weight of fairly small TVs, a more reliable method of fastening was invented:
- With the help of a strong magnet, they find screws that fasten a metal profile sheet to the wall. And already connected to it. It serves as a peculiar fortification for the wall and at the same time takes part of the weight of the TV.
- In addition, there are hairpins-screws, similar to screws with different threads, connected hat to a hat. This fastening method is generally suitable for all types of walls, because the most important thing is to choose the length of the hairpin itself. The deeper it will go to the wall - the hardest it will be the TV that it will endure.
Installing the TV on the wall is simple, although a rather laborious process. It requires attentiveness and accurate calculations, because they depends on whether the fastening of the weight of the TV will solve.
