How to connect a television socket

The use of a television socket allows you to hide an antenna cable, secure it from damage and get rid of hanging wires. After reading the instructions, the independent installation of the device of any configuration will not cause special problems.

TV sockets are intended to transition from an antenna line to television equipment, connecting a plurality of subscribers or additional switching devices. Three types are available:

Single (individual) - are used when connecting a single TV or multiple using a signal divider;
Passing - apply to the organization of two or more television points without installing an additional distributor;
Terminals - have increased resistance and serve to connect the last device in the passage loop.

Option with passage sockets is advisable to use at a strong signal level, and with weak to install single devices and antenna amplifiers.

Installation begins with creating a connection scheme. In the case of one TV, it is enough to stretch the cable from an individual antenna or from a shared shield. Several TV sockets are connected to the "Star" chain using a splitter or a "loop" of 2-3 passing and one end-outlet. The cable laying can be made in two ways:

Hidden installation - the wire hides in the wall, the internal type socket is installed in the conversion;
Open method - a plastic wiring box is used, an overhead outlet is mounted.

The antenna cable is paired at the lowest distance and away from power wires.
