How to connect acoustics 5.1

If you have not used a multi -channel sound earlier, an audio system of this type will significantly expand your impressions of watching films and starting games. Mark 5.1 means that we will have as many as 6 columns: 2 front, 2 rear, central and subwoofer (especially for the lower frequencies). However, there are even more advanced assemblies, for example 7.1. Below we will talk about how to connect such acoustics.

How to connect acoustics 5.1 - how to run the speakers

First of all, it is worth finding out whether our motherboard supports a six -channel sound. All modern assemblies can do this, but there are exceptions. In addition, it is necessary to keep in mind what type of speakers the devices in question belong. Analog speakers are connected to the PC in the same way as any others, and digital function function through the SPDIF connector. Since analog audio systems are the most common, we will focus on them. Digital devices, among the advantages, are connected to the system unit with only one wire, publishing much less background noise. The sequence of working with the audio system 5.1 looks like this:

We unpack and consider devices to determine where and how to place them. For example, it is logical to install modules with controls on the table in order to have quick access to sound tuning. And the subwoofer with “Nizami” is convenient to install under the table.

The connection scheme can vary, depending on the design of acoustics, however, in the general form, the connection of plugs from the columns must correspond to the signatures on the sound card connectors. The subwoofer is indicated by a reddown of SW), the front left and right speakers - Frontleft (FL) and FrontRight (FR), two rear - Rearleft \\ Right, or Surroundleft/Right (RL/RR, SL/SR, respectively). The central column - Cr.

Physical connection is produced by the Cable “Foam Tulips - Jack 3.5”. They will go like this:

  • a pair of “tulips” from the front columns, jack into the green nest of the sound card;
  • a couple from the rear columns - into a black connector (depending on the manufacturer, the wire or “nest” can be painted in blue);
  • a couple about a sub and a center - to orange (similarly to the previous point - or yellow);
  • do not forget to connect the entire system to the network;
  • pay close attention in which section there are “tulips”, it should be indicated as “Audio Input 5.1”, but not “Audio Output”.

Another connection option is also possible if the PC does not have enough connectors to join the second pair of speakers and subs / center. In this case:

  • we connect the front speakers to the green nest;
  • rear - to blue or black;
  • the subwoofer and the central device - to the pink entrance intended for the microphone (as a result - if you need a microphone, the sub is turned off).

How to connect acoustics 5.1 on PC

Some settings have to be made on the computer:

  • we go to the “control panel” -›“ Equipment and sound ”;
  • select the section “Sound” -›“ Speakers ”;
  • click “Configure”;
  • we find the item “Volumetric Sound 5.1” and click on it;
  • the audio system will be activated.

It is also convenient to use Realtek Audio Manager:

  • we go to the program;
  • on the Speaker Configuration tab, select from the drop -down list 5.1;
  • save the changes by the “OK” button.

To connect acoustics to a DVD player, TV or other technique, an adapter will be required (for example, Mini Jack-Stereo RCA).
