MacBook is the laptops of the world-famous Apple company, which has always differed in special quality devices and certain troubles in terms of their functionality. All equipment works on the basis of its own operating system, so sometimes there are difficulties in the work. There are situations where there is not enough screen and the need to connect an additional monitor. MacBook supports three interaction modes with external monitors.
1
Most Apple laptops have a universal port (Mini DisplayPort). To connect an external screen, you will need a cable, at the end of which will be VGA, HDMI or DVI, depending on the connectors on the monitor. It is necessary to make sure that the cord supports the transmission of sound. You can use adapters. Working with any of the modes occurs in the "Displays" tab in the system settings.
2
The first mode of operation with an external display is a monitor video drive. When the laptop is connected to the monitor, the reflection of the same picture on two devices is automatically turned on. Enough in a swung box, put a tick on "Enable the monitors of monitors". There is one nuance: on both screens there will be the same permission, so if the connected monitor has a lot more diagonal - the picture quality will be bad.
3
The second possible connection mode is an extended desktop. In this case, two monitors become one. Screens work independently of each other and retain their individual permission. When connected, a tick with "Enable monitor video drive" is removed, two monitors are displayed in the spun window. From above one of them is a white line that determines which of the displays will be the main. It can be dragged on any of the squares, and their location changes. For convenience, you need to place the MacBook and the monitor in the same order as on the screen.
4
The third mode allows you to use a laptop as a system unit. External monitor in this case is the only main. However, MacBook must be included, despite the closed cover. To do this, find in the system settings "Bluetooth" tab and enable the parameter "Allow Bluetooth devices to output this computer from sleep mode". The keyboard and mouse must be connected to the monitor, otherwise it will be impossible to use it.
The most convenient is the third way, since in this case you can use the external monitor together with the MacBook as a home computer.
