How to connect a projector to laptop

The laptop monitor is quite small, so problems often arise with the demonstrations of presentations for the general public. For this, there is a projector that can increase the general diagonal of the monitor.

1
Turn off the laptop and projector from the outlet. Take the VGA cable and stretch it from the projector to the laptop. Connect it. On most laptops, the connector for the VGA cable has a blue color. First include the projector, and then the laptop.

2
Now you need to adjust the image because it should appear when the laptop is turned on automatically. But in some cases, people have to include it independently. Wait until the operating system is full and click the "FN" key combination + the transition button between the screens. On each computer, it is located differently, but two monitors are always depicted on it. For example, on the laptops from Acer, this image is placed on the "F6" button, on the laptops from the Dell - "F1".

3
Hold down the "FN" key + the corresponding button, you can alternately translate the image of the picture into one of three possible modes. First, only the projector will turn on, and the laptop screen will remain black, i.e. The image will be displayed only on the projector. When you press press, the image will appear on the laptop screen and will remain on the projector. If on one of the devices the image will be covered, configure it in the screen properties. The third click of the key combination will disable the image on the projector, and it will only remain on the laptop screen.

4
If you fail to display the image on the projector, the function buttons are turned off in the laptop. In some cases, the projector may not approach the video adapter of the laptop. If the model of your video adapter is outdated, acquire a newer one. All modern models are endowed with the DVI connector. It is more versatile and distinguished by high quality pictures. But keep in mind that you can connect the projector to this connector only if it is the corresponding output.

5
There is another way to connect a laptop to the projector. The Windows 7 operating system includes the "Connection to the projector" program. Opening this program, you will see icons. By clicking on the "Disable Projector" icon, it will turn off. If you want to duplicate the image from a laptop to the projector, click the "Duplicate" icon. Both monitors will highlight the same image.

6
If you click on the "Expand" icon, the right part of the desktop will be displayed on the projector, and on the laptop screen - left. Moving the mouse cursor, you can move the image. Another icon is designed to disconnect the laptop screen so that the image remains on the projector. This method greatly simplifies the job if you have Windows 7 installed on the laptop.

7
For Windows 8, there is also a lightweight connection option. Go to "Start", then in the "Control Panel" - "Design and Personalization" - "Screen" - "screen resolution". You will see the ability to select the display of a mobile PC (laptop) or connecting an external monitor. Selecting the second value, the image will appear on the projector.

8
Now consider the possibility of connecting the projector through Windows XP. On the empty place of the desktop, right-click. In the context menu that opens, select "Properties" and "Screen". In the "Parameters" tab, select the laptop screen or connect the external monitor.

Now you know that there are no difficulties in connecting the projector to a laptop. Before connecting, make sure that the laptop and the projector go to each other and there are the necessary connectors for connecting.
