How to connect karaoke microphone to laptop

To perform songs in karaoke, voice recordings for presentations, voicing vocations, you need to purchase a microphone and connect it to a laptop. With the help of a microphone, just communicate in voice chat, talk to Skype or discuss the process during online games on the Internet.

All microphones for karaoke have two types of output plug - 3.5 mm and 6.3 mm. The laptop in the sound card has a standard connector - 3.5 mm. For non-standard plug size, a special adapter is required, which can be purchased in audio engineering stores or in the radio component market. Sometimes this adapter comes complete with a microphone. In no case can you insert a microphone plug of a large size into a standard laptop connector, it will entail a breakdown that cannot be fixed.

The karaoke microphone plug is connected to the laptop connector, which is located on the front side panel. Mostly the connector has a pink color, sometimes orange, the color of the connector depends on the laptop manufacturer. On some models, the laptop next to the connector is the microphone icon. The plug is entered into the connector to a characteristic click.

After connecting the microphone on the laptop screen, a notification will appear, and on the taskbar - the microphone icon, which will be located next to the clock. For the correct work in the future it is necessary to restart the laptop.

At the end of the connection, you can start setting up. It is necessary to act like this. View the "Start" button to go to the "Control Panel" and select the "Sounds and Audio Device" tab. In the pop-up window to select "Audio". In the "sound recording" graph with the microphone icon go to the "Volume" cell. In the window that appears, perform a fine sound setting. Choose a "microphone" and increase the volume to the maximum, in the Count "Microphone Strengthening" put a tick and save the changes to the settings.
