Find USB connectors on your laptop and connect the camcorder using a USB cable existing on it. If your webcam has an additional cord designed to power it, it must be connected to a power filter into a socket or if this option is possible, directly to the electrical network.

Now check, it is possible that the operating system of the laptop identified the connected device, automatically picked up and installed the driver to it - this is evidenced by the "pop-up" notification of a successful connection in the lower right corner of the monitor. In this case, you can immediately use the camera.

If this did not happen, then for the correct operation of your webcam, you will have to install drivers yourself. Usually, the drive drivers and instructions for their installation comes with a webcam. Check carefully with the instructions, insert the drives with the drivers into the drive, and then following the instructions, select the necessary settings. If there is no such disk, you can find the drivers on the manufacturer's website, be sure to focus on the device model.
After installation, you must restart the laptop and check whether everything is done correctly. Checking can be conducted using special applications (they are on disk with drivers) or through the My Computer menu, where you will see the connected USB device.
